A couple of engines on the North Norfolk Railway
New Year 2016/17

The following were seen at Pipacre and Titchwell:
Collared Dove, Wren, Blackbird, Gold finch, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Nuthatch, Robin, Chaffinch, Coal Tit, Dunnock, Long tailed Tit, Shell Ducks and Herring gulls
New Year 2017/18
Stayed in Mount Lavinia, played games in St Lukes, had a nice drink in the Robin Hood to see in 2018, enjoyed Louise’s veggie lasagne, went for ride on the Mince Pie express,
August 2018
An apartment in Cromer spa village where we used the gym and swimming pool. We had sensible self catered meals (including a very nice Boboshi and a crab salad) and drinks in the bar a la WW. The bar had run out of crab which is why did our own.
KJ explored the cliff walk and we explored the top of the hill where we were which had a lighthouse. Pictures to follow…
New Year 2018/19
Little Gem cottage actually in Sheringham. We can’t remember what we did…. Let us know if anyone can remember!
August 2019
Little Gem cottage again. Very hot Bank Holiday weekend. Chilled out on Sunday with a womble down to the beach and some paddling. Putting and Train spotting on Monday. Scrabble in the Lifeboats with others in then evening. Tuesday KJ rode Gt Yarmouth. I collected her in the evening from Caister on Sea. Wednesday had a look at the most interesting Sheringham museum. Then by following the loudest noise in the gardens of Beach Road we joined the Gang and suddenly found ourselves being interviewed for lifeguard duty with a glass or two of white wine.. I passed… initially as the only man. Then home for fish supper. Thursday went bird watching at Cley (flocks of black tailed godwit, dunlin, sanderling, oyster catcher, avocet, greenshank, lapwing, Egyptian goose, shell duck, teal, mallard, snipe were seen plus a possible sighting of the elusive water rail and rumour of an osprey in the vicinity. No marsh harriers on this occasion) after meeting the others briefly at the gastronomic Whelk Copper cafe. Then home to pick up KJs bicycle (Reggie) and a starter of chicken dumplings followed by butternut squash and courgette croquette salad. For dessert – coffee mousse with summer berries, a dollop of Greek yogurt and Sweet Freedom chocolate sauce. Friday is car packing day as KJ needs to go to Cambridge for a night ride.

P.S. We’ve sunned ourselves every day and consumed the “occasional” bottle of Prosecco along with lots of lettuce…
